The holidays can be stressful. Here are 5 tips to lessen your stress during the holiday season.
Square Breath
Inhale for a count of 4
Hold your breath at the top for a count of 4
Exhale for a count of 4
Hold your breath at the bottom for a count of 4
Calming Mudra

Open your hands wide and tuck your thumbs into the center of your palms.
Curl your fingers loosely around your thumbs, making soft fists with both hands.
Rest your hand palm side down on your thighs.
Lengthen your spine and breathe.
Affirmation / Mantra
Repeat this to yourself:
I am calm
I am calm
I am calm
Humming Bee Breath / Bhramari Pranayama
Sit in a comfortable position.
Close your eyes.
Bring hands to your face, resting your pinky fingers outside your nostrils, ring fingers at the inner corners of your eyes and your other fingers on your forehead.
Close your ears with your thumbs.
Tongue can be touching the top of your mouth.
Inhale into your belly.
Exhale and make a humming sound.
A quicker version is to inhale into your belly then hum on the exhale.
Tapotement / Tapping
Bring your thumbs and fingers together and keep your fingers long.
Start tapping at your left shoulder and tap all along the top of your chest, near your clavicle.
Tap from shoulder to shoulder a few times.
With hands flat on both arms, arms crossed, tap up and down your arms a few times.

Holiday Sacred Space
Create a space in your home where you can enjoy the season with peaceful energy. You can make this as simple or elaborate as you want. Gather these things and anything else that calls to you for your space. You can put them in a jar, a bowl, or just on the table.
